Daily Exposures, Lifetime Memory: Why We Need to Radically Change How We Approach Chemicals
TRACK: HEALTH

We know the effect our buildings have on the environment, but we have only begun understanding the effect buildings have on our health. The exposome concept was defined in 2005 to link our lifetime of exposures to our health: the exposome can account for 80-85% of disease risk, whereas only 15-20% of disease risk can be attributed to the genome. Exposing the exposome has the power to inform, engage, and ultimately improve the health and well-being of millions.
